Here is a list of some of the Godzilla ideas that were scrapped.

Godzilla vs. Ghost Godzilla a.k.a. Godzilla vs. Godzilla. This film would have had a ghost Godzilla fight a living Godzilla and eventaully defeat him. Instead Toho went with Godzilla VS Destroyah.

Godzilla Vs. Gigamoth.Gigamoth is a prototype for Battra. It was supposed to be the twin to the Mothra of the movie, a mutant Mothra that was malformed by radiation. It shared many of its' powers with Hedorah. It can also be assumed that it influenced Megaguirus later on.

It was supposed to be a fish-rat hybrid. Godzilla was too have fought killed them ate it. Proving that he is carnivorous. But that scenarios was deemed too graphic and ultimately scrapped.

Godzilla Vs. Bagan. Bagan bless his heart never got too be in any Godzilla film although he was slated too be in several. Also he was supoosed too be in a MOthra movie but that too fell thru.

Titans.The Titans were from the original script of Terror of Mechagodzilla. They were supposed to be two dinosaurs that had survived the extinction of the dinosaurs. At some point during the film they were supposed to merge into one being called Titanosaurus. Only Titanosaurus appeared in the film and he was controlled by cyborgs.

Godzilla and the Lost Continent.Godzilla and the Lost Continent was a book that was announced twice but never published due to the publishers losing the rights to publish it.

The Return of Godzilla.The first draft of the Return of Godzilla had the following plot. Bagan, a transforming god, is discovered. After transforming between his three forms (Ape god, Fish god and Dragon god) he begins to fight Godzilla. He realizes he can't defeat him, so he merges the three forms into a totem pole like beast that is soon defeated by Godzilla.

The Return of King Ghidorah.An alien named Miko sends out King Ghidorah, Gigan, and Mogu to destroy Tokyo. But, Godzilla and Rodan attack them, until the three go off to space. But they return, and Godzilla, Rodan, and Varan send them out to space.
But due to budget limitations, this film could not be produced. However, The Return of King Ghidorah was replaced with Godzilla vs. Gigan, cutting Mogu and Varan, while switching Rodan with Anguirus. Note: Gigan could fire a spiked ball from his right hand. Also, Miko was killed in the Godzilla tower by Godzilla.

The Return of King Ghidorah second draft.A new King Ghidorah, this time from space, appears and battles Godzilla.

Gryphon.These kaiju is from the original scrip form the TriStar Godzilla movie. According to early scripts, th Gryphon was to appear in Utah first, then destroy it's way to New York to battle Zilla. It could attack with claws, teeth, a group of snakes living in it's mouth, and blasts of electricity from it's wings. According to some sources, Toho's agreement with Tristar expressly forbade them from creating any monsters of their own(although Toho seems to have reneged when it comes to Godzilla:The Series). Toho seems to have told Tristar that if "their" Godzilla was battle another creature, it had to be a Toho creation. The two monsters Toho offered, Mothra and King Ghidorah, had such expensive prices that Tristar declined.

Godzilla vs The Devil was an unmade Godzilla film that would have been made in 1978.
